This poster is designed as a warning to the Aviation Community as to what is likely to happen if Congress does not stop the FAA from Contracting out Flight Service.
In Canada, costs continue to rise as the "non-profit" company continues to flounder. In Europe, the use of "Eurocontrol" can be as high as $70 per hour flight time (Flight Service, as we know it in the US, is almost non-existent.
Pilots from Canada, Europe and Australia all have the same complaints about their service - "Privatization is squeezing out the private pilot."
The problem is not that a private company could not do the job. It's that when the Government sets up a company as a monopoly, there is no control on costs. The FAA keeps saying there will be no "User fees", however, the FAA also promised "equal or better service" during the first consolidation of Flight Service.
You be the judge - do you trust the FAA with your wallet? If not, call your representatives.
